West Bank of Utah Lake

Stephanie and I spent our Saturday afternoon trying to get to the Western shore of Utah Lake, which took longer than we anticipated. We eventually detoured into a meadow with sagebrush and cowpies.

 It was nice to shoot the vegetation on a tiny scale. Everything seems to get more beautiful as you look closer.

 

I loved the red coloring on these little guys. These were about an inch tall. I also liked the texture on this little plant:

This was my favorite shot of the day, as the sun broke behind us and mammatus clouds formed across the valley:
