West Bank of Utah Lake

Stephanie and I spent our Saturday afternoon trying to get to the Western shore of Utah Lake, which took longer than we anticipated. We eventually detoured into a meadow with sagebrush and cowpies.

My beautiful travel buddy:

It was nice to shoot the vegetation on a tiny scale. Everything seems to get more beautiful as you look closer.

I loved the red coloring on these little guys. These were about an inch tall. I also liked the texture on this little plant:

Obligatory cactus:

This was my favorite shot of the day, as the sun broke behind us and mammatus clouds formed across the valley:

Loved the Rainbows here. Killer Light.

We stopped to take a picture at an antique Sinclair on the way home.

Image Dump

Here are some images that should have been posted a while ago. I like them because all of them correspond with some good memory from last Summer or Spring. These are in reverse Chronological order.

Getting Colder

I have a love/hate relationship with Fall. It's so close to ski season, but I can't ski. Then again, it is so close to ski season...

The contrasts found in Utah's rocks are always interesting to me.

'Mud Lake,' a section of Utah Lake. Pretty good water skiing there.

Pond

Shot while alone on a trip in the San Juan Islands. This is a pond on Orcas Island by the side of a steep mountain road. While shooting this still pond, I was near my car, where the speakers were blastinig Gounod's Judex from Mors et Vita. Very Memorable. Click here to listen to it.
